今年是 Geocaching 成立以來的第二十周年！
官方在 2019年就開始宣傳會有一系列的慶祝活動 (Community celebration events 就是其中之一)，不過礙於疫情的關係，大部分的活動不是被延期，就是活動時間被延長。
什麼是 Community Celebration Event？
其實最一開始，它是 Lost & Found Event (或也被稱為 10 Years! Event )，也就是在 2010年的時候作為十周年慶祝的一部份。
在當時，只有在 2010-04-30 ~ 2010-05-03 這段期間申請舉辦 event，且需符合一定條件 (在event結束後在寶頁上放上一張至少有10名以上參與者的合照) 才有機會申請將一般 event 的 icon "升級" 成 10 Years! Event。在 2010年，全世界大約只有三百多場 10 Years! Event (清單在此)，臺灣那個時候也有辦過一場 10 Years! Event (GC25DGX - 10 Years! Taiwan, Hapen.)。
官方當時所舉辦的慶祝 event 則被稱為 Lost & Found Celebration (GC24GYW)，有前往西雅圖 HQ 參與慶祝活動的玩家可以獲得有別於 10 Years! Event 的 icon 和徽章。
而在 2019年，官方將 Lost & Found Event 重新命名為 "Community Celebration"，也將 icon 重新設計 (10年前有參加過 L&F event 的人，profile上的 icon 也已經自動更新了)。
隨著玩家的人數逐年增加，二十周年的慶祝活動也隨之擴大辦理。比起十周年時的三百多場慶祝 event，官方預計二十周年，也就是今年，會有至少 20200場慶祝 event。(2020年 1月至 10月，每個月從申請舉辦 community celebration event 的人之中隨機抽選 2020人並給予舉辦 community celebration event 的資格。)
被抽選到的機率其實滿高的，據我所知，臺灣就有不少玩家有獲得舉辦 community celebration event 的資格。凡是有獲得舉辦資格的玩家，就可以在 2022-12-31前擇日舉辦。Event 的活動內容不限 (但要符合規章，所以基於 event 最晚須於活動兩周前申請的規定，最晚申請的日期為 2022-12-17)，惟活動時間需要至少達兩小時，還請要申請的人注意。
在臺灣，哪裡可以參加 Community Celebration Events 呢？
十月不僅連假多，event也多，幾乎是每個禮拜六都有一場 community celebration event。

凡參加任一場 community celebration event，並且有線上 log attend 的玩家都可以獲得徽章一枚。別忘了在你想參加的那場 celebration event 頁面上寫個 "will attend" note，讓主辦人知道大概會有多少人一同參與慶祝唷！
